Naran Kavum (Pol Kavum)
The shape of the mandarin, gave these sweet treats the name naran kavum. The sweet coconut and treacle mix cooked on the stove gives these a Devine taste. After making it a ball and deep fried in a batter make these look awesome on the plate.
How to make Naran Kavum:
Into a pot add sugar, cardamon, and water and cook several minutes.
Add the cocnut cook sevearl minutes.
Add rice flour little by little until it forms a nice smooth paste.
Transfer it a bowl and leave it to cool down.
Make the batter adding, water to the remaining rice flour and tumeric powder.
MAke balls out of the coconut. And dip in batter.
Deep fry it untill golden brown.
